Baci from Cortona

Progetto commissionato per l'Università della Georgia Cortona, inserito nell’edizione 2019 del festival internazionale di fotografia Cortona On The Move.

DESCRIZIONE

Da cinquant’anni a Cortona si tiene un incontro molto particolare: quello tra i suoi abitanti e gli studenti del programma University of Georgia Studies Abroad. In occasione del 50° anniversario di UGA Cortona, il progetto
"Baci from Cortona" porta in mostra fotografie personali e ricordi raccolti tramite una open call aperta a cortonesi e americani. Attraverso la fotografia, "Baci from Cortona" racconta la storia di due culture che da cinquant’anni si intrecciano e si arricchiscono a vicenda, lasciando un segno profondo nella vita di chi ha vissuto questa avventura. La mostra è stata curata da Kublaiklan.

For fifty years, a very special meeting has taken place in Cortona: that between the people of Cortona and the students of the University of Georgia's Study Abroad Programme. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of UGA Cortona, the project "Baci from Cortona" presents personal photographs and memories
collected through an open call to Cortonese and Americans. Through photography, Baci from Cortona tells the story of two cultures that have intertwined and enriched each other for fifty years, leaving a deep mark on the lives of those who have lived this adventure. The exhibition has been curated by Kublaiklan.
